We enable pharmaceutical companies to bring products to patients by designing, building, qualifying and optimizing their GxP facilities.

We conduct our business according to high ethical standards, living our values and protecting the reputation of our company and our customers. When we do business we follow our business ethics to both stay in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and do what is morally right.

We also make sure that we provide regular training and guidance for our employees on these ethical standards.

Our history

1930’s

Danish Novo and Nordisk Gentofte (later Novo Nordisk) employed the first engineers.

1991

After functioning as in-house consultants at Novo Nordisk for years, NNE (Novo Nordisk Engineering A/S) demerged as an independent company.
At this time the employee count was 130.

1998

Novolet complet, Hilleroed, Denmark. Handover of a highly automated Novo Nordisk plant for fill, finish and assembly of insulin pens based on a new manufacturing concept.

2005

NNE wins facility-of-the-year award for Novo Nordisk’s biotechnological plant for production of hemophilia medicine (FVII), NovoSeven®, situated in Hillerød, Denmark.
A fast-track engineering project completed in only 18 months.

2007

Acquisition of Pharmaplan, a company similar to NNE in DNA. NNE Pharmaplan was founded.
With the acquisition, we obtained global coverage of the market.

2017

To make our name simpler, easy to remember and conversational, we changed our company name to NNE. But our focus on pharma engineering remains unchanged.

2019

Divestment of NNE operations in Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium and China allowing NNE to intensify the strategic focus on Denmark, the US and India.
