Modern process validation and continuous process verification

This course builds on the course Operational Statistical Process Control and focuses on more advanced statistical tools that can be used to achieve process validation and build a system for continuous process verification.

You will learn to choose the right control chart for different scenarios, even in special cases of non-normal distributed processes with batch to batch or systematic sources of variation in subgroups. Furthermore, it covers prediction of the future capability from historical data which is needed to calculate how many batches needed in validation, and to decide on strategy for continuous verification.

Content

This course will cover:

  • Advanced SPC
  • Control charts
  • Multivariate control chart
  • Capability indices
  • Use of confidence, prediction and tolerance intervals
  • How to address modern process validation
  • How many batches?
  • Continuous process verification
  • Effective degrees of freedom in variance component analysis
  • Sample size calculations

This course incorporates theory with practical exercises and active participation with the intent of providing you with an advanced understanding of applied data analysis within measurement system analysis, control charts and process capability indices.

Software

The software used in this course is JMP from SAS and the instructors will demonstrate all the exercises in JMP. If you are currently not a JMP user, we recommend you install JMP on your computer before participating in the course. A free 30-day trial can be found in JMP homepage. If you need assistance in installing JMP or have any questions do not hesitate to reach out to academy@nne.com

If you are using another statistical tool, we can arrange a course using your preferred tool. Contact us to hear more about this possibility.
